Extension Check List

  • Provide final reviewed Fact Sheet content.
    • Page name and Fact Sheet Header
    • Author name
    • main author email
    • Reviewer names
    • Publication EXT # | date
    • Fact Sheet Digital Object Identifier (DOI) URL
    • Include the list of categories needed to be checked within Aurora
  • Provide "alt tags" for all images
  • Provide appropriately sized Hero image (for post page)
  • Provide appropriately sized Featured image (for Publication/fact sheet home page)
  • Be sure to label all images with a short, but descriptive naming structure (NO numbers/letters or other internal code type setups)
  • Provide "Categories" to be checked
  • Provide proper ADA approved, descriptive language for all URL links.

DX Team (or other uploader) Check List

  • (If not included) find stock photography (start with free options in Unsplash), resize using Extension’s preset Photoshop files.
  • Be sure to label all images with a short, but descriptive naming structure (NO numbers/letters or other internal code type setups). For example, “banner-cows-near-red-barn.jpg”. Use the most obvious searchable word(s) for use in Media Gallery.
  • Clear code/use eraser tool on copied content (to remove all junk code). If this step is done correctly in Word first, this shouldn’t be an issue but please review code and mediate as needed.
  • Bullets copied in seem to resist the "eraser tool". Work around: un-bullet, use "eraser tool" and add bullets back is effective.
  • Split content into the labeled rows/widgets. Main Content, Resources, Mandatory Statement (should be the same as on the template). Include additional Rows/Widgets as needed to create the specific Publication.
  • Name new rows/widgets (if added rows/widgets)
  • READ through publication once complete for any typos/errors, line spacing issues, style issues etc… Be sure to read original document to add back in any erased styles (typically bold and italic)
  • Check appropriate "Categories" (none should be using "Uncategorized")
  • Update the "Published On" date to be your posting date, as this template will be using its original creation date!
  • Include [PDF] in the publication title IF link is going directly to a pdf file. (infrequent need)

Styles and Layout

  • Align photos left or right to allow for text wraps (only keep as center when it makes sense to the content)
  • There is an existing "Attribute" called "shaded-box" that will put a faded blue background and border, with padding around a row or widget.
    • use to highlight content
    • design element
  • Use the HORIZONTAL LINE option to help divide page content
